Understanding the Universe one ingredient at a time...

 

This website has now become an english assignment gone awry... When trying to decide on a topic about which to create a webpage, I found myself lost in the labyrinth of endless choices. A favorite band? A favorite play? Book? Artist? Movie? Hobby? Business? Philosophy? There were just so many subjects all clamoring for notice like attention-starved pagaent girls... Somehow it just became a hodge-podge of randomness... Though hopefully with some purpose or dream behind it all..

Dreams

Dreaming is crucial in the lives of artists, writers, musicians, even businessmen - anyone who wishes to create.. (As Plato muses: we are all creators - made in the image of the "uncreated creator")  As human people in the waking world we have largely lost touch with our intuition, that part of ourselves that is in direct connect with the universe. So we must turn to our dreams.   In a dreaming state we are in direct contact with our deepest intuitive self..our 'anima' or 'yin' or feminine energy. Whatever term you'd like to use, this is the self that is the pure expression of the universe...Here we have the most knowledge, the most understanding.. The problem is that when in a dreaming state our 'animus' or 'yang' or masculine energy (the one responsible for action) has almost no ability to function. So one can certainly not stay in dreams all the time or purpose would completely cease...we would never create anything... We must balance both energies... But we can learn to bring back more from the dreaming realm and become more inspired creators...
